In the spring of 2009, the George W. Housner Student Discovery Fund at Caltech approved my proposal for an independent study project in Nigeria, focusing on the use of information technology in medical institutions. The project was an attempt to contribute in some way to develop medical facilities in Africa, which is also the mission of GEANCO, a foundation I have been involved with since 2007. This is a blog of my five-week stay in Nigeria during the study.
